About me

ABrecording.org is the work of Andrew Budden, a London-based classical recording engineer and producer. I offer a complete range of recording services, from session engineering to post-production. If you’re planning a project, I’d be delighted to discuss how I can help bring your vision to life

Rates

All services are charged at £50 per hour, covering both recording sessions and post-production work. Below are examples of recent projects I’ve completed; however, I’m happy to tailor my services to meet your specific needs. Every project receives a detailed, fixed quote in advance, ensuring you know exactly what to expect and can plan your budget with confidence..

Example services

    Archive recording

Capturing a live performance for archival or reference purposes requires a discreet and efficient approach. I specialise in low-impact recording setups that deliver high-quality sound while maintaining clear sightlines and ensuring the audience’s experience remains undisturbed.

A light degree of post-production can further enhance these recordings, and any additional work will always be discussed and agreed upon in advance.

    Video audition

Video audition sessions are designed to provide a clear and professional recording that showcases your performance at its best. Each session includes a single-angle camera setup with high-quality single-take audio.

Session time is charged at £50 per hour, with a minimum booking of two hours. Please note that setup and takedown are included within the session time — approximately 30 minutes should be allowed for this.

  • Andrew's setup for a full release recording

    Full release

For projects intended for commercial or release, I provide a comprehensive recording and production service. Sessions typically include multiple audio takes and are fully produced to capture every performance at its best.

Depending on the scale of the project, an assistant engineer may be involved to ensure a smooth workflow — this is always discussed and agreed in advance.

Following the recording sessions, your project is edited, mixed, and mastered to deliver a polished, professional-quality sound ready for distribution
